Our Story
A Firm Built on Considered Judgement
Typhoon Ridge was founded on a straightforward conviction: that organisations benefit most from consultants who listen carefully, think clearly, and deliver findings that people can actually act on.

About Typhoon Ridge
Typhoon Ridge was established in Hong Kong with a focus on three disciplines where the quality of analysis genuinely matters: treasury operations, sales force design, and sustainability disclosure. Our work is oriented toward organisations that want clarity on where they stand and concrete guidance on what to do next.
Our consultants come from backgrounds in corporate finance, commercial leadership, and regulatory affairs. We do not employ generalists for the sake of size. The team is deliberately compact, which means the people you speak with in early conversations are the same people doing the work.
We work primarily with mid-sized companies operating in or through Hong Kong, including regional subsidiaries of larger groups. Our engagements are priced to be accessible to organisations that are not yet at the scale of engaging global consulting firms, while still receiving work of comparable quality.
Our Mission
To help organisations in Hong Kong and the wider region make better-informed decisions about how they manage money, grow revenue, and account for their environmental and social footprint.
Our Approach
We begin every engagement by understanding the organisation as it actually operates — not as it appears on paper. Our recommendations are grounded in that reality, which makes them considerably more useful in practice.
Our Values
Intellectual rigour, plain-spoken communication, and respect for the time and resources of our clients. We do not produce reports for the sake of producing reports.
The People
Our Team
A small group of experienced consultants who bring focused expertise rather than broad generalism.
Margaret Chan

A decade leading commercial transformation projects for mid-market firms across Greater China. David focuses on aligning sales structures with commercial strategy and improving pipeline discipline.
Sophia Yeung
Consultant, Sustainability Reporting
Background in regulatory affairs and ESG disclosure. Sophia helps clients navigate Hong Kong's evolving reporting requirements and build frameworks that are both credible and manageable to maintain.
How We Work
Professional Standards
Strict Confidentiality
Every engagement is covered by a confidentiality agreement. Client information is handled internally only and is never shared beyond the project team.
Written Deliverables
All findings are presented in clear written form — not just slide decks. Clients receive documents they can reference and share with their own teams.
Evidence-Based Analysis
Recommendations are grounded in data, benchmarks, and structured assessment — not assumptions or templated frameworks applied without thought.
Consistent Team
The consultants involved in scoping your engagement are the same people who carry out the work. There is no handoff to junior staff after the proposal is signed.
Regulatory Awareness
Our consultants stay current with developments from the SFC, HKEX, and international bodies relevant to treasury, sales compliance, and sustainability disclosure.
Open Communication
We provide regular progress updates and are accessible throughout the engagement. If something unexpected arises, we discuss it directly rather than glossing over it in the final report.
Our Expertise
Consulting for Hong Kong Organisations
Hong Kong's position as an international financial centre places particular demands on treasury management. Currency exposures, cross-border banking structures, and intercompany financing arrangements all require careful attention. Typhoon Ridge brings direct experience with these specifics, not general principles borrowed from markets with different characteristics.
Sales force design in Hong Kong and Greater China involves nuances around relationship-driven selling, channel structures, and incentive norms that differ meaningfully from Western markets. Our Sales Force Effectiveness studies are built around how commercial organisations here actually operate.
Sustainability reporting in Hong Kong is evolving rapidly, with HKEX requirements expanding and international frameworks such as ISSB gaining traction. Organisations that begin structuring their data collection and disclosure processes now will be considerably better positioned as mandatory requirements take effect.
